The American University (UAM) and Red Katalysis (The Katalysis Network), have signed an agreement that aims to develop a Master's degree program in Administration of Microfinance Organizations.
The agreement establishes a scholarship fund, valued at 20,000 euros, to support the development of capacities, skills and competencies of people who belong to financial institutions.
"With this agreement, we reaffirm our commitment focused on offering programs of training and management of microfinance businesses in Nicaragua, which is a key sector for the country's economy," stated Ernesto Medina, Rector of UAM.
For his part, Raúl Sánchez, General Manager of Red Katalysis, said that the Master's program that will be given at UAM is part of their goal to find ways to generate income and improve the quality of life for microfinance clients.
Red Katalysis is an association with the goal of stimulating the growth and strengthening of microfinance organizations in Central America, applying the principles and values that favor quality standards.
